This is the southernmost point of Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay and Skyway Bridge views are incredible! So close to the beaches, great boating and fishing as well as the interstate to take you north or south in no time. This quiet neighborhood has been a favorite for years. Drive through the ”pink” streets for a taste of just how special this area is, better yet, walk!
Pinellas Point covers the last southern mile of the Pinellas County peninsula from 54th Ave South to the shores of Tampa Bay. Besides great views of Tampa Bay and the Skyway Bridge, Greater Pinellas Point St Petersburg Florida is probably best known for its “pink streets”. These muted pink streets add charm and character to the popular “pink street” homes for sale in this southern section of Pinellas County.
A “typical” home in this area is a 3 bedroom 2 bath layout with about 1,600 sq ft of living space. Sizes range from 2 bedroom 2 bath ranch style home to 4 bedrooms 3 bath homes with about 2,500 sq ft of space. There are not many large homes over 3,000 sq ft in this part of St Petersburg. Most of these homes were built in the 1950s to the 1970s. The real estate in this section of town is mostly single-family homes. About a third of the homes sold have private pools.
According to the Greater Pinellas Point Civic Association - “Our neighborhood is defined by eight parks, totaling more than 140 acres of green space, nine boat ramps, two recreation centers, a neighborhood pool, sports facilities, and access to some of the best fishing in the Tampa Bay region. We are proud of our amazing waterfront vistas, such as the panoramic view of the iconic Sunshine Skyway Bridge.”
Below is a quick recap of the major parks in the area:
