More Information About Countrypark
Overview of Countrypark
Countrypark is a deed-restricted community and was developed between 1985 and 1987. It consists of 151 single-family homes. The builders' vision was to provide the owners with a big house on a big lot. As you drive through you'll see they accomplished that vision! Even the trees are big and beautiful. The vegetation includes beautiful Oak trees and Florida's finest Palm trees.
By the way, even the streets seem wider than most communities too. What makes Countrypark special is the average home is just under 2,500 square feet, and the average lot size is nearly 13,300 square feet. This is nearly double the average lot in Pinellas County. Also, these fine homes include three-bedroom, four-bedroom, and five-bedroom homes, and offer a mixture of two-car and three-car garages. If you want some space on your next home and extra parking, Countrypark should be on your shortlist.
Benefits of Living In Clearwater City Limits
Since Countrypark is within the city limits of Clearwater, some of the benefits include; streetlights throughout the neighborhood, curbside garbage, and recycling pickup on a designated day, which is Monday. Residents of Clearwater can just put anything out at the curb and will be removed by either the city or other folks looking for your hidden treasures. There are some restrictions on electronics and hazardous materials, but Pinellas County has periods that offer drop-off sites every so often. Countryside High School happens to be one of those drop-off locations which is very convenient.
One of the other benefits of Countrypark, is the utility lines are all underground. So inclement weather will adversely affect keeping the lights on during our famous Florida storms, as it does in some of the other older neighborhoods.
Enterprise Dog Park
Now for the fun stuff. If you've got fur babies, especially dogs, you're in luck. Countrypark is just down the street from one of Clearwater's finest dog parks, Enterprise Dog Park. You and your canine friend will love it there. Go for a run, or just walk around for some exercise. We'll almost guarantee a nap will ensue once you get home, who knows, maybe your dog will take a nap with you. If your pup gets dirty, no worries. There's a rinse station right on site for your use, pretty convenient.
One more thing about your fur babies, there's a PetSmart less than a football field away from the dog park. They offer all you can imagine for your pets, including grooming services. Check them out if you have a chance. And oh, by the way, Office Depot is right next door to PetSmart, should you need any office supplies.
Public Schools
If you have school-aged children, Pinellas County provides some of the nicest schools available. This includes Leila Davis Elementary Home of the Bear Cubs, which is for kids through five. Safety Harbor Middle School Home of the Seahawks covers grades six to eight. Countryside High school, home of the Cougars focuses on 9th to 12th graders. Countryside High offers the ISTEM program, which is the Institute of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
The ISTEM program can lead to vocations in the computer and cybersecurity industries. Countryside also has great football, baseball, basketball, and wrestling programs too. You will not be disappointed, go Cougars.
Some Great Local Dining Choices
If you're like us and want to know where to go to enjoy some great food, let us show you the way. If you want a great pizza but not from one of those quickie pizza shops, we highly recommend Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, which is located in the Northwood Plaza Shopping mall. Not only is Anthony's famous for the pizza, but they also make a mean pot of meatballs. They are delicious. Their coal-fired wings covered in sautéed onions are outstanding, to say the least. And they are served thrusting out a piece of pita bread, which is a nice treat. The pita bread is big, by the way. We're getting hungry just talking about it. Anthony's also offers outdoor seating which is great year-round. They have special heaters to keep you warm and toasty, during the cooler times of the Florida year.
Pickles Plus is a great place for sandwiches. And we're talking two-fisted sandwiches. Not these wimpy little things you find somewhere else. They also offer breakfast items too, so they've got you covered, breakfast or lunch. The community favorite is Louis Pappas. They're famous for their authentic Greek salad which the recipe dates back over a hundred years, classic euro sandwich, and a plethora of traditional sandwiches and cuisines. You won't go wrong with whatever you choose.
You can also find some other traditional shops like Jersey Mike's and Starbucks for your early morning cup of fancy Joe. Enjoy the mall because they're just around the corner. One more place to visit in the Plaza is Another Broken Egg. They are for traditional breakfast dishes, sweet contagion items, and they have a wide variety of omelets and scramblers. You won't go wrong at Another Broken Egg.
Location
Countrypark is located off the Enterprise Road East, in Parkstream Avenue, between US Highway 19 North and McMullen Booth Road. There is one main entrance into the community and a second access point on Saber Drive through Northwood estates, it's sister community just West of Countrypark.
