North area residents love the privacy and old Florida feel of the North Beach area. There is almost no tourist traffic, and the out of the way beaches are much more tranquil than the busy areas around Pier 60. The Carlouel subdivision and Mandalay subdivision are the two main subdivisions on the northern end of the island.
The North Beach area begins about 1 mile north of the roundabout and Pier 60 area.
The western shores of North Beach are lined by the white sand beaches and views of the Gulf of Mexico. The eastern shores face Clearwater Harbor and the Mandalay Channel. The very popular Carlouel Yacht Club is at the northern tip of the island at the end of Eldorado Avenue.
Enjoy tropical Gulf breezes and uncrowded beaches on the north end of Clearwater Beach.
Residents love the privacy and tranquility of North Beach when they want to relax, and easy access to local restaurants, bar and grills, and entertainment when they want to go out.
