Overview of Carrollwood

Carrollwood is located in Hillsborough County north of downtown Tampa and about 12 miles north of the Tampa International Airport. It is just 3 miles west of scenic Lake Carroll and about 5 miles southwest of beautiful Lake Magdalene. 

Things to do in Carrollwood

There are so many things to do and see in Carrollwood and nearby. Golf choices include the Carrollwood Country Club, Northdale Golf & Tennis Club, and Babe Zaharias Golf Course just to name a few.

There is also an abundance of adventure and cultural choices nearby. Carrollwood is centrally located near Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, the Museum Of Science & Industry (MOSI), Lowry Park Zoo, the Big Cat Rescue, and Tampa Bay Downs. The Side Splitters Comedy Club is always good for a laugh. There is convenient shopping at the Citrus Park Mall and lots of small local shopping boutiques.

Yuengling, America’s oldest brewery has a free walking tour that lasts a little over an hour. Be sure to make a reservation and completely closed shoes are required.

The Carrollwood Cultural Center is located in the heart of Carrollwood Village. It offers an art gallery, Classes, camps for kids, events, performances, and more.

Other attractions for the kid include the Bounce House, Airheads Trampoline Arena, and Chuck E Cheese.

Carrollwood is also surrounded by some great parks where you can enjoy our beautiful Florida weather. A few of our favorites are the Logan Gate Dog Park, Lettuce Lake Park, the Upper Tampa Bay Trail for biking and hiking, and the AL Lopez Park and Dog Park.
